Mandy Gilbert (Ashley Tisdale) is a geeky and unpopular girl at her high school. She has two dreams: she wants to salvage her high school reputation and get noticed by Drew Patterson (Robbie Amel), and she wants the latest gadget: the video phone. But Lisa, the school's mean girl is plotting to stop her from getting Drew Patterson. Mandy decides to join the swim team to have a chance at getting noticed by Drew because he is the school's champion swimmer. Her plan soon backfires when she drops her glasses. While getting up, she hits her head and falls unconscious into the water. Drew manages to save her and gives her CPR.Later they start talking but then Mandy's dad catches herand groundsw her on the weekend she was supposed to go to a party that Drew invited her to. Sneaking away with the excuse of going to study at her friends house Mandy leaves and goes on an adventure with her two friends. Every half hour her dad calls her to check if she is still studying and Mandy gives him previously
